Savannah

Kai and I went to Savannah, GA a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. Visit here for a few pictures of the trip.

We stayed at the Marriott Riverfront which was in close proximity to the historic area. We took a trolley tour and even had a chance to meet Paula Deen at her restaurant during her book signing!

Bahama Mamas

Just came back from my annual trip to the Bahamas where we stayed on Paradise Island. I took Kai and her cousin Evan for a girls trip. We had a great time and a couple of adventures…being bitten by jellyfish in the ocean, swimming with the dolphins, Kai creating great sand art and her cousin accidentally knocking the glass bottle shattering it on the pool deck within 30 minutes of Kai finishing it (it was truly an accident but try telling my 10 year old daughter that after well thought out time of putting the sand art together). As always the long weekend was too short, and I am counting the days when I can head back there. Here are a few pics from the weekend. Enjoy!

Private Concert with Earth Wind and Fire!

On Tuesday, I was invited by a friend to go see Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago in concert. To my surprise, it was rehearsal concert in a 12,000 seat facility...and only 80 or so people (if that) were invited to see them rehearse the show before they head out on tour! Earth Wind and Fire performed first for us, then Chicago came on. At the end of Chicago’s set, one of the tour managers told everyone to come down to the stage. So there we were, all 80 of us - dead smack in front of the stage, when BOTH Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire came back on to the stage with EWF’s September! It was GREAT! Both bands played TOGETHER and serenaded us for another 45 minutes singing their best hits! If you have a chance to see the tour, which starts tomorrow….check it out!!!

Murder Mystery Theater

We surprised my mom with a trip to Sleuths Murder Mystery dinner theater in Orlando. It was a fun night interacting with the actors and trying to figure out ‘whodunnit’. I even was invited to be a part of the show…check out the pic…I was a cheerleader leading a chant at the ‘class reunion’ where the murder was set. All in all it was a great night until….we walked outside and found that my car was DEAD. Three different people stopped by to jump it and couldn’t get any juice out of it. My bro in law came by to also try and fix the situation but was stumped as well. Finally the tow truck had to be called in to haul to my sister’s home. I figured I may as well take pics while waiting and watching the scene unfold with the car…

Kai had another horse riding lesson today. She is learning how to post…a maneuver done while the horse is trotting. Today Kai had to post with no hands while Raiana trotted quickly around in a circle!
